Information and help on travelling by sea to the East of England

The ancient port of Harwich in Essex has a regular succession of liners and fast ferries cruising into its modern terminal. The Stena HSS speeds across from the Hook of Holland (Netherlands) in just three hours 40 minutes, or you can opt for their more conventional day and overnight crossings aboard a traditional ferry with cabin accommodation. DFDS (Scandinavian Seaways) has modern ships sailing from Denmark and Germany. Enjoy restaurants, bars, cinemas and entertainment as you relax onboard.

From Harwich, you can drive straight off into the East of England. Of course, if you prefer the short sea crossings from Calais to Dover, or the Channel Tunnel, then its an easy drive up to the East of England via the M20 or M2, the M25, and the A12 or M11.
