This is England's only east coast resort which faces west. A traditional seaside town with ornate Victorian and Edwardian houses overlooking wide open greens and pretty gardens which slope down to the sea. The large sandy beach is very gently shelving, and when the tide goes out it offers excellent walks. Hunstanton is also noted for its watersports, such as sailing, kite and wind surfing. Other attractions include donkey rides, adventure golf courses and a fun fair. To the north is Old Hunstanton, a residential village noted for the only red and white striped cliffs in England - made up of carrstone and chalk.

Other 'Seaside' Places of Interest

South from Hunstanton is Heacham, with its rural beach of gently shelving sands. It is also home of Norfolk Lavender - with fragrant gardens to explore. Heading north, Brancaster is a little fishing village with sailing boats, seafood for sale and the earthworks of a Roman fort. Visit the broad sandy beach with dunes - great for walks.
