* The friendly staff can help you with lots of ideas for both places to stay and things to see and do - during your time in the region. They can tap into the ‘insider knowledge’ that guidebooks just don’t have.

* Tourist Information Centres can also book accommodation for you, in their own area or further afield. Some centres also sell tickets for events in their area.

* They can also be the ideal place to purchase locally made crafts or gifts, as well as books covering a wide range of local interests and subjects.
